For buyers
Purchase financing
You need goods but would rather not pay the supplier up front. Mercator acquires the goods from your supplier, pays for them, and resells them to you with payment deferred for 30 to 90 days.
For suppliers
Inventory financing
You have goods ready for sale but need cash now. Mercator acquires the goods from you and pays immediately; you repurchase them on pre-agreed terms within 30 to 90 days, typically once your own customer has paid.
How it works
Four steps, one agreement
1 Terms agreed
We agree with you the goods, price, delivery and the resale terms, including the payment date.
2 Goods acquired
Mercator buys the goods and pays the seller directly. Title to the goods passes to Mercator.
3 Goods resold
Mercator resells the goods to you at the agreed price, with deferred payment of 30 to 90 days.
4 Settlement
You pay on the agreed date and title to the goods transfers to you in full.
